The chapel areas  located on Route 179, between Uptown Sedona  and the Village of Oak Creek,  gets its name from "The Chapel of the Holy Cross"  an iconic Catholic chapel built into the mesas of Sedona, Arizona and one of the main tourists attractions in the Sedona area. In 2007 Arizonans voted the Chapel to be one of the Seven Man-Made Wonders of Arizona.

Many of Sedona's famous  trails begin from this area, including Broken Arrow, perhaps,  the most  famous and the one from which "Broken Arrow" the movie was named after.

The red rock views from much of this neighborhood are among Sedona's best.  The real estate  in the Chapel area ranges from older modestly priced homes to  the newer Back O' Beyond sub-division where homes run into the Millions.
